I am running for reelection to continue fighting for strong public schools, responsible leadership, and the resources every student needs to succeed.
Why I’m Running
As a former bilingual teacher, union leader, father, and school board trustee, I know how deeply our schools shape the future of our community. I came to the United States from Puebla, Mexico, as an English learner at the age of 14. Teachers helped change the course of my life. That experience continues to guide my service today. I want schools that are welcoming, inclusive, and help every student succeed.
My Priorities
Strong Schools
Protect classroom resources and expand opportunities for students.
Fiscal Responsibility
Make transparent, sustainable decisions that strengthen the district for the long term.
Support for Educators
Recruit, retain, and respect the people who serve students every day.
A Voice for Families
Listen to the community and ensure families are part of major decisions.

My Record
Protected Student Programs
Retained elementary music teachers, a theater manager, and staffing at Kennedy High School when these positions were threatened by budget cuts in 2026.
Supported Educators and Staff
Helped reach labor agreements in previous years as well as during the strike that invested in the people who serve students every day.
Defended Students and Families
Advanced stronger protections for immigrant families, LGBTQ+ students, African American achievement, and family-friendly workplace policies.
